| Pilar made the switch from working as an Insurance agent to a certified RBT this year in January. She fell in love with Behavioral Therapy and Applied Behavior Analysis through her studies, and that passion was further reinforced when she began to work with kids hands on. She’s worked with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder from ages 2 to 7, boys and girls, in all locations – home, clinic, and school.
She mostly appreciates her career because of the rewarding experience of helping children develop in a way that respects the dignity of their lives, where each child has a unique plan that is tailored to their developmental growth. When she’s not in scrubs, she’s in a dance studio or gym, and there’s nothing she treasures more than time with her family and loved ones, participating in her community, and writing or being in nature. |
