Mariela chose to become a speech and language pathologist because she wanted to work in a profession that served her community. Mariela graduated from Alabama A&M University in 2022 with a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She enjoys working with children because of their desire to learn. Children encourage her to use her imagination and find new ways to think creatively. Mariela is a bilingual, Spanish-speaking SLP. When she is not at work, Mariela is usually outdoors, spending time with family or walking her dog.
