Guelsy chose to become a Speech Language Pathology Assistant because she fell in love with communication during her time in school. Changing the lives of kids and adults in her community means the world to her. This field keeps her busy and excited every day to see the new faces and smiles that light up when working. She studied at the University of Central Florida and achieved a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, with a minor in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Guelsy worked as a Registered Behavior Therapist and has experience working with children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities as well as experience with Articulation, and Phonological disorders. When she is not at work, Guelsy is usually cooking her life away and creating new recipes on the weekends. She has a beautiful labradoodle named Ella who spends her days following her around the house. She loves taking day trips to the beach and spending time with her loved ones.
