Trent Barrick earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY in 2011. After completing a 6-month internship at Hospice of Palm Beach County, Trent earned his board-certification and continued working full-time with hospice patients in residential and medical settings for five years. He also received training and certification from the Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy at Colorado State University. Since 2015, Trent has worked as a music therapist at the Memorial Rehabilitation Institute at Memorial Regional Hospital South and has served a variety of populations, including but not limited to adults with acquired brain injury, degenerative neurologic disease, stroke, spinal cord injury, cardiopulmonary, joint replacements, transplants, limb loss, and cancer. Trent owns a neurologic music therapy-based company, Neuro Music Therapy, LLC, which provides telehealth and direct music therapy services across South Florida.
When he is not at work Trent is usually at the gym, writing music, or dancing with his friends on the weekends. He loves watching Marvel movies, playing with dogs, and enjoys playing Nintendo on occasion!
