Allison has been an SLP for 13 years, graduating with both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. It was there that she found her passion for working with children with oral motor and feeding disorders. She learned and worked directly with Debra Beckman, one of the foremost authorities on motor speech disorders, even participating in a research study to figure out why healthy babies struggle with oral motor weakness and feeding.

Over the last 13 years Allison’s career has expanded from working with babies as young as 3 days old, to working with adults over 100 years old. She has worked in private practices, schools, home setting, and skilled nursing facilities. Allison has had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of patients who deal with a variety of ailments including strokes, children on the Autism spectrum, Down’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and more. People always ask which population she prefers and the answer is always BOTH! Overall Allison is passionate about helping children and adults of all ages with their overall communication, speech development, oral motor, and feeding disorders.

In her free time, which isn’t much, you can find Allison at home with her husband, 3 young children, and their 2 dogs...or at Disney!!
