Marcia chose to become an Occupational Therapist because she always wanted to work in a profession that helps children with learning difficulties and so that she can contribute to her community while being active with a hands-on approach to her clients. She loves working in the field of pediatric therapy, working with children of all ages who are imaginative, spirited and wonderfully unique. Marcia loves that she can learn something new every day when working with children with different abilities and is especially passionate about making strong, collaborative connections with each child and their families. Marcia has extensive experience, over 20 years, working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities and Sensory Processing Disorder. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with experience in Youth Mental Health, as well as experience as a Substitute and Aftercare Teacher in the Palm Beach County School System.
When she is not at work, she is usually traveling with her friends and family or attending live music concerts. Being a native Floridian, she loves the outdoors and enjoys riding her bike to the beach and enjoying the water with her husband and their son. Due to her Italian heritage and her past travel experiences to many different countries, she loves to cook and create her own new flavorful recipes. She also truly enjoys being social and making new friends as well as maintaining her long-term friendships from high school and college.
