Speech Language Pathologist

Barb chose to become a Speech and Language Therapist when her son, born with Down Syndrome, was an infant. While watching and learning from his speech therapist, she fell in love with the profession! Early Intervention is an invaluable experience. She loves working with children with a variety of needs because there is so much in life for them to prepare for and benefit from. In addition to speech and language therapy, she enjoys feeding therapy and oral motor development work. Children teach as well as they learn and working with them and their families every day is an enriching experience. Barb has extensive experience in working with children with Intellectual Disabilities, Sensory integration, Feeding, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Language Disorders, and Articulation Disorders.

When she is not at work, she spends her time working on stained glass, playing volleyball, reading and caring for her three dogs.
