Julissa is a Physical Therapist Assistant who received her Associate of Science from Keiser University. She graduated top of her class and earned a perfect score on the National Boards licensure exam. Julissa also served eight years in the United States Army Reserve and deployed to Iraq and Kuwait. After receiving her honorable discharge, she left the Army to pursue her career in physical therapy.

Her decision to do physical therapy began with her love of physical fitness. She saw a large number of soldiers being injured unnecessarily throughout her military career, and saw the need for more medical professionals who had a physical fitness background.

Julissa has found a new passion in working with children and is excited to continue to pursue a career with pediatrics. Her goal is to provide a fun and nurturing therapeutic environment for her patients. She incorporates yoga and meditation into therapy sessions and believes children perform best when they are collected and confident.
