Carmen White is a Speech-Language Pathologist at Little Champs Therapy & Yoga. Carmen’s passion for working with young children who have speech and language disorders, as well as co-committing disorders, drives her enthusiastic approach when providing therapy. Her determination and desire to transform the delivery of speech-language therapy into an enjoyable experience for children and their parents is the objective for each child’s treatment program.
Carmen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY and a Master of Science degree in Communications Disorders from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY. Carmen holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence, American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a Licensed Speech Language Pathologist, State of Florida.
Carmen’s experience includes various areas of the speech, language and hearing disorders/mechanisms including Apraxia, Auditory Processing, Augmentative Communication, Developmental Delays, Feeding, and Neurogenic Disorders. Carmen’s special interests include treating children with disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, Autism and autistic like behaviors as well as working with children who have language and learning disabilities, expressive and receptive language delays, articulation and phonological disorders, as well as limited social skills. In addition, Carmen’s experience includes working with the adult population with special interests in Aphasia, Dysphagia, and Voice Disorders. Carmen’s proven clinical experience is a result from working in private schools, public schools, and home care settings.
