What population of children do you serve?

Our specialty is Birth to 21 years of age, however we treat adult clients as well. Our company is aiming to expand our adult treatment segment in the near future. So please call for your free consultation regardless of age.

 Where is your facility located?

We are not a physical location as we provide treatment in the luxury of children's own home. This allows parents to spend quality of the time with the child and other siblings.

 

How do I know if my child needs therapy?

If you have concerns about your child, and would like a professional opinion, therapists at Little Champs Therapy & Yoga will perform an initial standardized assessment which will help you to determine whether there is a need for therapy.  Assessment results will be discussed, and a treatment plan that best meets the needs of the child and family can be implemented. We provide free 15 minutes phone consultation.

 

Do I need a Doctor’s referral?

Yes, in Florida, you need Doctor's referral.  Our clients sometimes come without a doctor’s referral and that is great too! There is no risk, you can come in for a FREE 15 minute consultation to make sure we will be a good fit to work together to get your children healthy!

 

What are your hours of operation?

We are making every effort to be flexible in meeting the needs of our clients.  We are open from 8:00am until 8:00pm Monday to Friday.  In certain situation, we may see the clients on the weekends with appointments.

 

Does my insurance cover the cost of therapy sessions?

We accept all major insurances, including Medicaid, CMS T19 & T21, Amerigroup Medicaid and healthy kids, Humana Medicaid and Sunshine State Health plan Medicaid. The coverage varies depending on child’s diagnosis and the type of the plan.

 

What if I have to cancel a session?

If a session needs to be rescheduled, please give us as much notice as possible.   Please note that appointments cancelled without 24 hour notice will be billed a nominal fee of $25.00.  A missed appointment with no advanced phone call will be billed in full, and is your responsibility.

 

What benefits can my child receive from Yoga, meditation and mindfulness therapy?

Research suggest that today’s generation is more stressed than the previous generation when compared for the same age. Additionally, children with certain diagnosis has difficulty with sensory processing and sensory integration. Yoga and meditation helps child reconnect with himself/herself with improved ability to control external stimuli. Thus, increasing focus leading to advancement in all aspects of life.  

 

If I do not find my home suitable for therapy sessions, is there an alternative location we can conduct appointments?

Little Champs Therapy & Yoga prefers therapy sessions in child’s natural environment to foster growth. Therefore, if a family prefers other location than home, the therapies can be provided at the library, park, schools, or daycares depending on child’s age and symptoms.

 

What is Aromatherapy and how can it help my child?

Aromatherapy is a type of alternative medicine that uses essential oils and other aromatic plant compounds which are aimed at improving a person's health or mood. Our expert aroma therapist uses great variety of products and suggestions to improve overall quality of life of our clients.
